The Bible is a Book made up of many books. These books are not just collections of thoughts or sayings to be read as individual verses. Each book is a unified whole, a piece of divinely-inspired literature that is organized around a main idea or theme.

The goal of these Bible Theme Studies is to identify the main theme idea and then show how the rest of the book grows from and supports that theme. They are not commentaries but rather statements about what the (Divine/human) authors were about from a “big idea” point of view.

Each study begins with helpful background information, followed by the Theme Statement, an Outline (in full sentence statements), a repetition of the Theme Statement, and the Theme Development. At the end of each study is a limited bibliography of the works most helpful to the author at the time of writing.

The Bible, in part and in its entirety, is meant to be read as a whole. These studies are designed to aid in that part of Bible study and meditation.
